3. What is smart chip or page counter chip?

Smart chip is installed in some toner cartridges by OEM manufacturer to keep track of printer functions as well as to make life harder for recyclers and remanufacturers. Compatible toner cartridge chips are used by remanufacturers and they are available for almost every cartridges that uses smart chip. And they works as well as OEM chips.
